Special Prize in Berlin – Nov 22nd, 2006
Seven years after the completion of the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin, 3XN is back in the German capital. This time by invitation from Vivico Estate, one of Germany’s largest developers, and this time with a Special Prize and interesting future possibilities as result.
“3XN’s proposal for the Lehrter Stadtquartier is extremely interesting and intriguing, and caused a vivid and rewarding debate in the jury. It has unique features. In our opinion the proposal has the potential as a stand-a-lone building. Therefore we decided to award a Special Prize to the project in order not to loose contact with 3XN, and keep these remarkable ideas alive,” says Wilhelm Brandt, Vivico Real Estate.
In the very heart of Berlin, between the new Central Railway Station and the Federal Chancellery, Vivico is developing a new prime location for offices, retail trade and apartments: the "Lehrter Stadtquartier" (Lehrter Cityquarter). The Lehrter Stadtquartier is one of the most prominent new property locations in the capital Berlin.
3XN looks forward to the future collaboration with Vivico. Since October 27th, 2006, the results of the competition have been presented at the Vivico pavilion at Washingtonplatz in the Lehrter Stadtquartier.
